Holy Week & Easter Services—All are welcome!

Palm Sunday
April 13th, 8 and 10 am
We begin outdoors with palms and process into the church, reenacting Jesus’ triumphal entry. These services include the passion narrative. The people of St. Margaret’s, Staatsburg will be with us at 10 am.
Sunday School will join us for the beginning of the 10 am service, then go to the Parish House for Stations of the Cross.
There is no Coffee Hour on Palm Sunday.
Maundy Thursday
April 17th, 6 pm
Jesus leaves us with his final mandate: “Love one another.” We begin with a simple meal and optional foot-washing in the parish hall, and conclude in the church with Holy Eucharist and stripping of the altar.

Overnight Vigil
8 pm Maundy Thursday to Noon on Good Friday
Stay awake, watch and pray. Signup sheet in the narthex (entryway).
Walk of the Cross
Friday, April 18th, 10:15 am—begins at Regina Coeli
Stations of the Cross, a communal act of devotion in the Village of Hyde Park.
Good Friday
April 18th, 7 pm—at St. Margaret’s, corner of East Elm & Old Post in Staatsburg
A service of solemn prayer as Jesus offers himself even to death on a cross. Includes the veneration of the cross.
Holy Saturday
April 19th, 10 am
A brief meditative service as Jesus descends to the dead.
The Great Vigil of Easter
Saturday, April 19th, 7:45 pm
This is the night! A people who begin in darkness witness the new fire and the light of resurrection. We will welcome a new member in Holy Baptism and a small festive reception follows.

Easter Sunday
April 20th, 8 and 10 am
8 am is a quieter Holy Eucharist; 10 am is a Festive Holy Eucharist including the flowering of the cross.

An Easter Egg Hunt follows the 10 am service (on the lawn) and we’ll share a festive coffee hour!
