On Friday, July 19th, join Mother Meredith for an informal field trip to Holy Cross Monastery. Discover this beautiful and sacred place—just 20 minutes from St. James’—that can be a resource for your own spiritual life.
Our day together will include a tour of the monastery and grounds, noonday prayer, and a delicious lunch (prepared by a CIA-trained chef) with the monks and other guests.
The formal program will begin at 10:30 am and end after lunch. If you’d like to add Holy Eucharist with the monks to your day, arrive at 8:45 am. You might also wish to plan to visit the monastery’s well-stocked book store and gift shop, bring a book or quiet activity to enjoy in the afternoon, or just stay for some time in quiet prayer.
