St. James’ will host a quiet prayer service for peace and unity on the evening before Election Day—Monday, November 4, 2024 at 7 pm. All are welcome. This offering is coordinated by the Episcopal churches of Dutchess County.
St. James’ Church will also be open for prayer and reflection from 6 am to 9 pm on Election Day.
O God, you have bound us together in a common life. Help us, in the midst of our struggles for justice and truth, to meet one another without hatred or bitterness, and to work together with mutual forbearance and respect; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, adapted)
