SUMMARY:Getting Mad at God: The Psalms of Lament (Lenten Study)
DESCRIPTION:St. James’ Episcopal Church and St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church are partnering for a Lenten study on the Psalms of Lament\, led by the Rev. Michael Corrigan & the Rev. Meredith Kadet Sanderson. These psalms\, which deal in uncomfortable emotions including complaint\, grief\, despair\, and anger—alongside trust and hope—can be a path that deepens our prayer lives and draw closer to our loving God. \nThursdays at 7:00 pm: \nMarch 2nd at St. Margaret’s\nMarch 9th at St. James’\nMarch 16th no study\nMarch 23rd at St. Margaret’s\nMarch 30th at St. James’ \nYou may join either in-person or online. In-person session location will alternate between the Community Room at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church (corner of Old Post Road and East Elm Street\, Staatsburg) and the Parish Hall of St. James’ Episcopal Church (4526 Albany Post Road\, Hyde Park). A Junior Ranger activity will be offered for young people. \nDeborah Nelson Linck is a writer and educator. She is the founder of the Hands-On Black History Museum.
